Since his diagnosis Alex has started therapy and biomedical interventions. At the moment Alex knows 2 signs (all done & more). We also have Alex on Biomedical treatments and the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.
Alex, like many other children with autism still can not talk, although he babbles constantly. He struggles with communication, and is easily frustrated. But you would be too if you couldn't tell anyone you had a tummy ache or were cold or hungry or just wanted a hug.
Even with all of this Alex is a constant joy. He is usually happy, loves to give hugs and kisses, and plays with us. He loves to play outside and loves his books and puzzles.
A new child is diagnosed with autism every 20 minutes. For all the children and families stricken by this disorder -- and all those who will be -- the time to act is now.
Your contribution will fund The Elaine Gottschall Autism Center. The center will provide an individualized biomedical, nutritional, and parent educational program. Families are given the opportunity to relax and reclaim their optimism in a respectful, loving environment. No one else can match the experience and dedication of a parent. The center will seek to empower parents by giving them the tools they need to help their child work towards health.
